A website, their computer holds the packet, and someone watching the public pages.

SurgeryHub is for administrators at outpatient surgery centers and pain centers. You are not buying a hospital computer system. You are buying public pages patients already understand, a private path for their forms, and a paper chart that prints in one pass. We do not call this HIPAA compliant. Read the FAQ with your attorney.

One-time

$7,000

Setup. Your center on the template. One invoice for the site, the portal, the chart kit, and your organization’s forms.

  • Public website. Your name, hours, procedures, insurance list, accreditation mark, and a page to rent an office if you are a landlord. Hosted at your-center.surgeryhub.care, or your own domain.
  • Your own domain. Most centers want the name patients already know, and an email address that matches it. We buy it on your behalf and register it in your name. Setting it up is an added line on the setup invoice; tell us the domain and we quote it before you sign. Already own one? Bring it. Nothing changes and there is no domain line on your bill.
  • Your forms. Send the sheets you already use. We put them in the portal. A pain center and a tenant dentist do not have to share the same packet. This is included in the setup price.
  • Patient portal. They fill history and last meal time at home. They view consents. The packet stays on their computer until the office is logged into the platform. Then it can send. The desk does not retype the packet. Nurses still treat in-room witnessing as its own step.
  • No holding area on our side. SurgeryHub does not operate a database or a cache for the packet. If the office computer is off, the packet remains on the patient’s computer. It is not stored with us.
  • Paper chart kit. Front: before the procedure and recovery. Back: the anesthesia record. After-visit sheet prints with it.
  • Patient education library. Searchable, tenth-grade cards written by nurses and anesthesia providers. Prints with the chart. New topics are added as the platform grows. Included with the month at no extra charge for as long as you stay.
  • Staff desk. Print filled or blank packets on the clinic computer.

Monthly retainer

$249

Per month. Domain and public site. Not patient files.

First six months free

  • Your address on the internet. Name, security certificate, uptime. The yearly domain registration is on us while you are on the month, up to $24 a year. We renew it so it does not lapse.
  • Public pages. We check that the public website is available. We do not read names, last meal time, or signatures. Packets are not stored with us. The patient education library stays current while you remain on the month.
  • Small copy and hours. Phone number, holiday hours, a new procedure line.
  • Six months free. The month does not start until half a year after you go live. Same service in those months, domain included. Billing starts in month seven, and you can stop it then by exporting.
  • Not included: storing charts, billing insurance, or sitting in your waiting room.

Export. Skip the month.

$0 / mo

After $7,000 is paid. You take the files. You host them.

  • Like a product key. Once we hand you the site, that copy is open. No refunds. Same idea as opening a software license after you buy it.
  • What you get. The website files, the portal, and the chart kit. Packets still wait on the patient’s computer, not ours. We stop hosting the pages.
  • What you give up. The certificate we renew and holiday-hours edits from us. If you are on your-center.surgeryhub.care you also give up that address, because the domain is ours.
  • Your own domain survives. The domain is registered in your name, so it leaves with you. We transfer it to your registrar account at no charge, or you take over the yearly bill. Export changes where the pages are served and nothing else: the address on your cards, your listings, and your email keeps working. That is the reason to own the name.
  • You can stay. Most centers will keep the $249 month. Export is there if you want the box on your own shelf.

Why $7,000

A practice website alone runs $5,000–$15,000. $7,000 is the site, the portal, your forms, and the chart — and nobody holds the packet.

Public figures reviewed 23 August 2026; the workings are in our market check. A practice website is commonly five to fifteen thousand dollars to build, and healthcare-specialist agencies quote seven and a half to twelve thousand for a solo practice. A patient portal is priced per provider, not per practice: about fifty to seventy-nine dollars a provider each month on its own, and one hundred twenty-six to seven hundred a provider each month when it arrives inside a records system. A HIPAA-compliant form tool is about twenty-five to fifty dollars a month, and a full intake platform runs two hundred fifty to more than a thousand. The number most centers miss is hosting: a site that actually holds patient forms needs hosting quoted at three hundred to twenty-five hundred dollars a month. Ours does not hold them, so you do not buy that.

SurgeryHub is seven thousand dollars once, then two hundred forty-nine a month, and the first six months are free. That is the public site, the patient portal, your forms, the education library, and the paper chart. We will not claim to be the cheapest line item on the market — a bare template plus a fifty-dollar form tool is cheaper on paper. It also has no chart, and every vendor in that basket keeps what your patient types. That is the difference you are buying.

Sources checked 2026-08-23 against published vendor and industry pricing pages: practice website builds, per-provider patient portal and records-system pricing, HIPAA-compliant form tools, full intake platforms, and hosting quoted for sites that hold patient forms. The basket we compare against is a website plus a form tool plus hosting — not a records system, because SurgeryHub is not one. Workings and every source are recorded in the repository as artifacts/lucid/PRICING-MARKET-CHECK.md. Not a bid from any vendor. We do not name them here.

Who pays this

The administrator or physician-owner who already buys a website and a form tool as two different invoices. SurgeryHub is those two things, plus a chart that matches a same-day list, without a third company holding the file.

Who should not

A hospital that needs a full electronic health record. A center that wants us to keep every chart in our cloud. We will not do that. That is the product.

Fine print

The domain is on us.
While you are on the $249 month we pay the yearly registration, up to $24 a year, and we renew it so it does not lapse.
Names above $24 a year.
Some names cost more than that. We bill the difference at cost — what the registrar charges us, nothing on top. Premium and aftermarket names are quoted before we buy anything.
You are the registrant.
We buy it on your behalf, in your name. We pay the bill; you own the name. It is your asset on the day it is registered, not on the day you ask for it.
It leaves with you.
If you export or stop the month, we transfer the domain to your registrar account at no charge, or you take over the yearly bill. We do not hold the name your practice depends on, and we do not let it expire on the way out.
Already own a domain?
Bring it. We point it at your site and there is no domain line on your invoice. Your registrar keeps billing you as it does today.
Email is setup, not hosting.
We can configure mail on your domain. You buy the mail service in your own account, and you sign whatever agreement that provider offers for health data. We hand over the keys and keep no login. We do not run mailboxes.
